Per INDOT: The Indiana Department of Transportation will hold a public hearing on Thursday, January 10, 2008, at 6:00 p.m. in the Mary Frank Elementary School cafeteria. The purpose of the public hearing is to offer all interested persons an opportunity to comment on current design plans for the proposed travel lanes to State Route 23 (SR 23) from about Adams Road to east of Bittersweet Trail, about 0.75 miles in length. Proposed are two travel lanes in each direction with a median two way left turn lane.
INDOT suggests SR 23 is not a desirable roadway for constructing a multi-use path and will no longer pursue a multi-use path along SR 23.
