COMMISIONER WANTS MORE ACCOUNTABILITY FROM VISITOR'S BUREAU

County Commissioner Steve Ross thinks the local visitors bureau is ineffective and located in the wrong place.
As a result, he cast the only "no'' vote Tuesday against an ordinance to appropriate more than $701,000 to help the center operate in 2007. The County Council had approved the measure Dec. 5.
